Hyderabad, July 14: The AP State Police Housing Corporation limited (APSPHCL) has formally launched the process of awarding engineering contracts through the e-Procurement process by publishing of online tenders worth Rs 13.5 Crore.
Tenders have been called for awarding works relating to construction of sarangapur jail complex in Nizamabad district at a cost of Rs 8.44 crore, police quarters at madhapur at a cost of Rs 4.5.crore and police quarters at T Sundupalli in kadapa district at Rs 56 lakh.
Disclosing this to media persons here today, AP State police Housing corporation managing Director Kamal Kumar said e-procurement was launched in his department following its successful implementation in the departments of AP State Road Transport Corporation, AP Technology Services and AP State Medical and Health Infrastructure Development Corporation. He said the e-procurement would reduce the workload on the staff in the Police Housing Corporation, improve quality in tendering and bring about a transparency.
Contractors staying even in far off places can participate in the tenders for executing civil works of the Corporation by registering on the website “www.eprocurement.gov.in”. They can offer the technical and financial bids after downloading the tender schedule and other documents through a user-friendly process offered by the website. The software ensures foolproof confidentiality of the bids and other details submitted by the bidder.
Kamal Kumar said that shortly the cyberabad police commissioner’s office would be constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore at Gacchibowli and the tender notice would be issued in a week’s time. The APSPHCL would also award works pertaining to construction of district jail complexes at Khammam, Vijayawada and Adilabad at a total cost of Rs 13 Crore. The tender notices would be issued within a fortnight.
