The Chief Minister, Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy said that the State would give all the necessary incentives for creation of infrastructure. The state proposes to capture 30% of the growth in IT (US $ 28 billion) and ITES (US $ 21 billion) in the country by 2009 (NASSCOM PROJECTION). For this, the state should provide 40 million sq. ft. office space as against the present available space of 10 million sq. ft. Within six months, there would be 6000 more rural kiosks to take the benefit of IT to the rural areas.
E-Procurement and Computerization programme would be hastened. “We are in fifth position in IT exports. I want to improve this,” he said. |
