In another major step towards achieving e-governance in the state, the Andhra Pradesh government has signed as MOU with Commerce One India to develop an e-Procurement exchange. The special chief secretary TR&B, J Rambabu and the COO of Commerce One India, Vivek Agarwal, signed the MOU. Spread over three phases, the project envisages receiving on-line bids, evaluating them, awarding the order, monitoring the contracts, placing the purchase orders directly on the net and making payments online.
