C1 India, has been chosen to set up eProcurement market place for the Andhra Pradesh government. This was announced here at an event this evening. This initiative is a part of the state governments' effort to increase efficiencies in all its departments though faster and more transparent automated procurement procedures.

Present at the occasion was the driving force behind the transformation of Andhra Pradesh into a SMART state, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at the occasion Sri Naidu spoke of his government's efforts to create a society where knowledge was paramount. "Our IT initiatives are steps in this direction," he said.
